Biology 12 focuses on human biology. Starting with cell biology it investigates the structure of the cell, its structures and chemical composition, and the processes that operate within it. This includes the digestive system, circulatory system, respiratory system and nervous system, urinary system and reproductive system.

Biology 12 is designed to enhance students' application of scientific skills and knowledge and addresses all prescribed learning outcomes from the BC Ministry of Education's 2006 IRP. The course also includes preparation for the Biology 12 Provincial Exam, if desired.
