Biology 12 (online)

Biology 12 focuses on human biology. Starting with cell biology it investigates the structure of the cell, its structures and chemical composition, and the processes that operate within it. The course expands on how these cellular processes relate to the larger systems of the body. This includes the digestive system, circulatory system, respiratory system and nervous system, urinary system and reproductive system.

Biology 12 is designed to enhance students' application of scientific skills and knowledge and addresses all prescribed learning outcomes from the BC Ministry of Education's 2006 IRP. The course also includes preparation for the Biology 12 Provincial Exam, if desired.

If you have a MAC with a newer operating system than this, you could run the CD's on the PC side (or with Boot Camp).

Family Studies 12 (online)

ONLINE! The aim of the Family Studies course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to assist them in making informed decisions related to family and interpersonal relationships.

Family Studies 10, 11 or 12 consists of 2 online modules - Interpersonal and Family Relationships and Families in Society.  Each module is worth two credits. You must complete both modules to obtain full credit for either Family Studies 10, 11, or 12.  Modules cannot be repeated for additional credit.

Foods & Nutrition 12 (formerly Food Studies 11) gives students insight into the concepts of planning and preparing nutritious food for individuals, groups, and families while taking into account safety and the prevention of food-borne illnesses as they handle or store equipment and food supplies. This course may be taken at either the Grade 11 or 12 level.
