Math 9 (online)

Mathematics 9 at DESK is an online course that is supported by a textbook. Lessons and practice are done from the textbook and supported on the DESK website with further explanations and solutions.

Both textbook and website have additional practice questions and quizzes, which engage the student with targeted practice and self assessment. With the help of teachers and peers, students work at their own pace to improve skills and understanding and achieve success.

French 9 is available to FULL-TIME DESK STUDENTS ONLY and is based on a program called "Tell Me More", one of the most advanced language training programs available anywhere.  The program is self-paced and focuses on all major areas of language acquisition.

Physical Education 9 is available to FULL-TIME DESK STUDENTS ONLY and is a required area of study for all students covering the topics of Active Living; Movement; Personal and Social Responsibility.

Health and Career Ed 9 (online)

HACE 9 students explore short-term and long-term education and career planning and the requirements of the Graduation Program.  In the health modules students identify factors that affect their abilities to make informed decisions about their health.

Art 9 (paper)

This course consists of eight exciting modules. All students will take Module 1 (Drawing) and Module 6 (Theme and Image) and choose two of the remaining six. The course offers students a firm foundation in drawing and design basics and introduces them to painting, printmaking, crafts, art appreciation, or photography.  Students should contact DESK for module options.
